I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you as we enter the final stretch of our Kickstarter campaign! As a reminder, I don't buy advertising, so these projects live or die on word of mouth - if you haven't talked to your friends about the project, consider doing so now! I'm running a giveaway on twitter, any engagement on my Instagram would help me with the algorithms, and Tumblr is still popping off too! Any way you can help spread the word goes a long way to getting us funded and the Starbag in your hands!
As you're already aware, there IS an option to get a starbag in custom colors - these custom bags will NOT be available ever again after the Kickstarter closes, so you still have a solid twelve days to make the call whether or not one of these is right for you.

I'm really blown away by the response so far - 50% is a huge milestone, and I'm really feeling the love. I cannot thank you enough for this incredible outpouring of support - without this community, my big ideas would just be sketches on paper forever.

One last thing - Since custom bags are an option during the Kickstarter only, I wanted to take a minute to share a bit about my design process for the three standard colorways. Fun trivia - each of them was directly inspired by an incredible woman in my life! I made bags that I knew each of them would love to wear. I wanted to take a minute to tell you a bit about each of them.
Senpai
Lilly is an indie comic artist living in Louisville, Kentucky, and she's a huge reason I have faith in my own big ideas. She's an Aries and has two darling cats named Peanut and Noodle. Lilly writes stories about Scandinavian folklore, obscure mythical creatures, and gay found family - and she doesn't shy away from the things she's passionate about. We've been in and out of each others circles for almost a decade, and she's always a joy to connect with.
Lilly's aesthetic is all about comfort. Soft pastels, potted plants, and the vibe of a cabin at the edge of the woods. She leaves you wondering whether or not you've just had an encounter with a fae creature.
My Teacher
Liz is an illustrator and concept artist in Argentina, and she's my biggest push to improve as an artist. She's a Pisces, and has a black cat named Persephone. Liz teaches classes in comics and digital art, and acts as the art director for our tarot projects. Through the magic of the internet, we get to hang out more often than we see our local friends! During quarantine, we've been taking art classes together online - every day she manages to show me something new.
Liz's aesthetic is all about space mermaids. She loves soft color gradients, cerulean blue, and streamlined shapes. She carries sense of wonder and an apatite for adventure wherever she goes.
The Manager
Nicole plays tennis, manages a starbucks in Florida, and she's the only reason I get anything done at all. She's a Taurus, and despite her moniker and mascot, has a puppy named Rigby. Nicole runs a purchasing service for artists like me, and whenever she needs new product samples, she hits me up for designs. We've been working together for years at this point - running zines and tarot projects. I can always count on her to tell it like it is and keep me honest with myself.
Nicole's aesthetic is aggressively practical. She dresses for comfort before anything else, and can rock a uniform like a champion. She is the model of a modern butch lesbian, by her own admission.
